No, it’s not because I own an Apple computer where (as I’ve heard) Flash performs very badly. It’s not because Steve Jobs hates it. Even the buggy and resource-hungry nature of Flash isn’t the primary reason (my PCs are powerful enough to handle it). The reason I hate Flash is because it doesn’t behave like it’s a part of the browser.
The chicken loving mallu speaks from the other side of the fence (where I hear they still use Windows as their primary desktop OS).
Flash did a great job back when jQuery and HTML5 were non-existent. Really, God bless Flash for those times, or we’d have had a tough time with web video (remember RealPlayer™?). But it really is time for it to go.
Oh, and the number of times I’ve been affected by lack of Flash on my iPad? Zero.
